IMS Response to Philips Respironics Respiratory Care Product Portfolio Update
We want to inform you about recent strategic decisions made by Philips Respironics regarding their Sleep & Respiratory Care portfolio in the US.
Recently, Philips Respironics announced that they have decided to discontinue the manufacture and sale of certain products, such as hospital ventilation products, specific home ventilation products (including Philips Respironics Trilogy Evo), portable and stationary oxygen concentrators, and sleep diagnostic products.
NO ACTION IS REQUIRED AT THIS TIME! The message from Philips Respironics serves as an informational update to allow customers to best prepare for the future.
We understand the potential impact this announcement may have on your operations. At IMS, we want to assure you that we are here for you and are ready to partner with you to discuss all options available for your patients needs. IMS leadership remains in constant communication with Philips Respironics along with other manufacturers such as Vyaire, Breas, Movair and React to ensure we are well prepared to accomodate your needs.
It's important to note that Philips Respironics will continue to support service and provide service parts and accessories for the discontinued products through the 'end of service' date or as long as they are available. For details on the impacted products and their respective 'end of service' dates, please visit philips.com/src-portfolio-update. Importantly, these changes to their portfolio do not affect the remediation efforts of devices included in the June 2021 recall of certain CPAP, BiPAP and mechanical ventilator devices.
IMS is your committed partner to deliver flexible rental and biomedical services, along with a wide range of equipment disposables for your respiratory care needs.
If you have any questions, concerns or would like to discuss available equipment alternatives, please contact your IMS Territory Manager.
Thank you for your continued trust in IMS. We are here for you, and together, we will navigate through these changes.
